Suggested Album Titles
Dear Clive,
We’re still working on that poll for the third song. Any chance we could squeeze on four songs instead of three? It’s just that we love them all and it seems a shame to leave any of them off the album. What do you mean, I “sound just like Bo Has he asked [...]

Brown Skin Girl as a Single?
Lulu found this post on the official American Idol forum about a sticker on Santana’s CD:
Hey all – I was just in Walmart and was browsing through the CD section and there it was – Santana’s new CD, “All That I Am”!!!!!
They must have received an early shipment. Of course I bought one and raced [...]

Santana’s Bad Reviews
Do not despair, fellow Bo-Hos, when you read these negative reviews for Santana’s albums (complete with obligatory swipes at Bo.) The disapproval is aimed at squarely at Carlos Santana and Clive Davis. Clive’s guest artist strategy may have propelled Carlos to multiple Grammys and 25x platinum sales figures, but it has definitely not endeared [...]

Another Bad Bo Review
The Philadelphia Inquirer is the latest to give a negative review to Bo’s Santana track:
The attempt at a sultry rocker a la “Smooth” with American Idol finalist Bo Bice is a loser.
Trying to look on the bright side…well, he didn’t specifically single out Bo’s vocals as being bad, just the track itself.

Dear Mr. Clive Davis …
We met once. Well actually … that’s not strictly true. Our eyes met once. OK, that’s not true either now that I think about it. But we shared the same lobby for a few seconds when I was at BMG for a job interview. You passed me in the reception area and I thought [...]

Bo on Fatherhood
From the Celebrity Baby Blog:
In this week’s In Touch, American Idol runner-up Bo Bice speaks out about his roller coaster year. Besides his near win on American Idol and the AI tour, Bo married his long-time girlfriend Caroline Fisher, and welcomed his first child into the world, a baby boy named Aiden [sic]. “Being a [...]

[Monty Python] Spam, spam, spam, spam [/Monty Python]
Allyk reminded me of one poll I forgot in my earlier blog posting. It is on the official Idol home page:
Who has the most powerful singing voice?
Kelly
Ruben
Fantasia
Bo
Carrie
Vote for Bo, of course, even as you recall that Season 4’s glory noter was not Mr. Bice.

More Santana CD reviews
Misha from the forum found two more reviews of Santana’s All That I Am:
From People Magazine:
After the star-studded success of his 1999 comeback album Supernatural–which won nine Grammys and has sold more than 15 million copies–and its double-platinum follow-up, 2002’s Shaman, Carlos Santana continues to work his collaboration magic. With guest appearances by everyone from [...]

SugarMoney.net Back Up
After yet another mysterious outage, SugarMoney.net is back up again. The forum isn’t up yet, but a “new fan club and forum” is promised for this fall.
If you’re unfamiliar with SugarMoney.net, it is the website for a band who is fronted by a guy named Bo Bice who lives in Helena, Alabama and isn’t [...]

Reviewers Dislike Bice Cut
The Guardian had very little good to say about Santana’s All That I Am:
Santana recently admitted that his guest singers were picked by his producer, industry mogul Clive Davis. Which partly explains why his 38th album often sounds like the world’s greatest latin-rock guitarist jamming along to the radio. The second album to try recreating [...]
