That’s not an invitation anyone ever expected Bo to make – he’s always asked fans to leave his home alone – so of course the forums are buzzing with excitement and speculation. I can’t explain it or afford it and I’m not sure what to make of it. But I can pretty much guarantee that it will be a hoot. Bo’s known for his warmth and hospitality, and he does love his peeps. Plus you know there’s bound to be singing.

A few things. By “ticket” they don’t mean a physical ticket. By “early next week” they probably mean between now and this Thursday. And 7pm likely means central time. Eh, details. I don’t know about you, but I’m excited. This is the first good look we’ll have of Bo since he got sick and cancelled October. I think we’ll all feel much better when we can see and hear for ourselves that he’s back on his feet.

Halfway though the contest, and they’ve collected a grand total of 9 submissions (including one from Bo’s own youtube channel). Nine? What the hell, peeps? I know there are plenty of bootlegs out there, because most of the space on my hard drive is filled with them. C’mon, don’t be shy. If you’ve shot any halfway decent video of Bo singing or smiling or just being Bo-like, send it in. What’s holding you back?

“Bo’s next video?” I’m not sure what this means, exactly. A casual video just for internet buzz and fun with fans during a quiet time of year? Or is Bo planning an official video and release of DSOB as a single? Can’t wait to find out.

BFB readers may recall that I almost always pitch a snit whenever Bo has a Q&A session. It’s not just that he never, ever answers my questions. I know it’s not personal. It’s that he almost never answers the interesting questions, the how and why questions, the ones that try and get into his head and his plans or bite a little deeper into his music. Maybe he just misses them in the clamor, maybe he thinks they’re too difficult to address during a casual chat, maybe he thinks they’re none of our damn business. Bo isn’t much of a dancer, but he’s really good at side-stepping.

So here we go again. Will he give us any surprising answers this time? No, probably not. But we’ll ask anyway. Isn’t that the definition of being a fan, doing the same thing over and over again and expecting different results? Wait, no, that’s the definition of insanity. Same thing. ;-)

We proudly announce the 2nd Annual Bo Bice “Peeps” Christmas Party will be held on Saturday, December 11th at The Rutledge in downtown Nashville. Advance tickets will go on sale right here on BoBice.com – Friday, October 1st at 10 am! Tickets will include: food, non-alcoholic beverages, surprise souvenir, silent auction, meet and greet and a special performance by Bo! (Doors will open at 11 am)

Bo’s peep parties are always special. He sings, he talks, he jokes, he hugs. I won’t post any video from last year to urge you on, because I have a strict no carols until after Thanksgiving rule, but here’s a description from forum member kelli -

I am sitting here trying to figure out what to write about the Christmas party. I know that I loved it, I know that Bo’s voice soared through the venue and at times you could hear a pin drop because we were all so mesemerized by his voice. I know that he was telling jokes and teasing Bart and that he had our rapt attention. I know that Bo looked beautiful and was wearing his Bo Bice boots. I know that still after all these years, seeing and hearing Bo gives me just as much joy as the first time.

The venue was perfect and I loved the intimate feel with the tables. I loved how important it was to Bo to have the Christmas ornaments jsut right. If I remember correctly, he ordered some special ornaments but wasn’t happy with them, I believe he said that they ordered some more and he still wasn’t happy so finally someone ( I don’t remember who) went out and bought a bunch of ornaments and Bo signed every one of them to give to us. He was so cute in making sure that we each had our ornament, Christmas card of the family (which is lovely) and a Bo Bice sharpie. Bo was so gracious with all of us.
