Highlights:

He couldn’t sleep the night before his appearance because he was excited to go back and see his American Idol family;

Simon looked bored during rehearsal and he thought, “Oh no, I’m going home tonight!”

He has a CD out called See the Light (Wow! Appearances to promote his CD! Bo’s new management tries a novel approach!)

Maroon 5 and AI, season four runner-up Bo Bice graced the idol stage and gave the contestants advice too. Front man for Maroon 5, Adam Levine told them to “get ready to work.” Bice gave sound advice, knowing what it’s like to compete in the finale - “practice, practice, practice.” And he also broke the news that his wife is carrying their second child, a baby boy.

Man, Bo Bice really rocks out hard. What a great sound.. sort of a Jimi Hendrix, Leonard Skynard, Peter Frampton thing going on. Completely impressive. And every time I see him he really seems like such a nice guy.

Look for a nice sales bump next week after Bo’s appearance tonight on American Idol and a round of tv and radio interviews in LA. Bo’s latest blog on Bobice.com has pictures of him on the scene at FOX, the TV Guide Channel, and E!

Do you remember back to our very first glimpse of him?

He wasn’t on screen very long, he seemed a bit shy, and he was a little hard to see in all of those baggy clothes, but man! That voice stood out by a mile.

Tonight Bo steps back out onto the Idol stage, and he’s come a long, long way baby. His hair is longer, his jeans are much tighter, and he knows how to work a crowd like nobody’s business. What hasn’t changed - that growly, gorgeous, dripping with soul voice of his.

I am so excited that he’s going to be singing Witness. It’s a song that pretty much sums up the last few years for Bo and for his fans. We first heard it raw and unpolished and not quite ready near the end of his Idol run. But now, now it’s grown and deepened, learned a few lessons and gotten its feet under it. It’s stronger and more confident and it rocks harder than ever, and it’s a joy to behold.

Good luck tonight, Bo! American Idol needs a Witness
