“It’s straight from me to the fans”
Rodney Ho posted a candid interview with Bo Bice on his blog. Bo forthrightly (for him anyway) discusses his health, his split with RCA, The Real Thing, See the Light, radio play and Wal*Mart.
Q: So tell me about the new CD. I presume you didn’t have to compromise on this one.
Bice: It’s undiluted. It’s straight from me to the fans. It’s my point of view. It’s Southern rock, pure and simple. That’s what the fans wanted. To be honest, I compromised my spirit more on ‘The Real Thing’ than I ever did on “Idol.”
It’s a must read.

Thanks for the article. I’m feeling guilty about any expectations I had of Bo last year before his surgery. We are finding out how truly sick he was and how he kept on going for US. I just wanna hug Bo and never ask anything of him again.

I know BikerChick57 - me too!
Bo’s so smart. He doesn’t rail against the system - he just opts out and creates his own.

Bo almost lost his life so as not to let anybody down. It breaks my heart that we had no idea how sick he really was when he gave 150% at all those concerts! I pray that he will remain healthy from now on… and that even more of his dreams will come true beyond his wildest imagination. I’m so proud of him for how he overcame such suffering with so much grace and gratitude… rising above it all with complete triumph… able to live out his own dreams of staying true to his roots. What an amazing man!
