More Bo Bice video from Venice Beach
Here’s more from the Blades of Glory DVD release event on Venice Beach:
I’ll say something — the opening line of the chorus never fails to get a reaction, no matter where he plays it.

Updated: The videos were taken down and then put back up, so I have refreshed the link. They work again now.

It’s true Lulu. It’s a great piece of writing in that respect, because there’s no way you can’t react to how Bo growls out that first I’m Gone. It punctuates the smooth crooning of his voice on the verse. I remember the first time I heard it in Nashville, when he hit the chorus the first time, it hit me in the gut & there was no way that I could keep from yelling. I knew instantly that this would be a hit for Bo.

Bo was in excellent voice that day! Love that he plugged his CD to the huge white bobblehead doll.

I’m so glad he got to do “I’m Gone” as well as BOG. It never fails to get a great reaction! It looked like some of the guys from “Here Come the Mummies” followed him to Venice Beach from Ft. Benning. I just love seeing him have fun.

I’m getting curiouser and curiouser about this shoot. There’s a professional photographer and a movie camera around and the camera man motioning the crowd to wave their arms. Oh and if we had seen the entire thing earlier, we would have known the title of the cd before it was posted on bb.com.

How can Bo sing with a straight face when there are two dancing mummies and a bobblehead present?
Seriously, if there is a single, I really hope it’s “I’m Gone”. That song has the “hook” to get people’s attention and be a hit on the radio.

I’m not so sure they look all that different from the usual front-row crowd at Bo’s concerts. ;-)

I think I saw some drool coming out of the side of Bobblehead’s mouth.

I was curious about all the cameras too. I know there could have been someone from a tv station to do a short segment but with the prompters to the fans to wave their hands, etc. it seemed like it was for something else. Wonder when bfb.com will sleuth this out? You guys are amazing at you what find and how fast you find it. If I ever get lost I hope they send bfb.com to find me.

I think the camera crew would have been hired by Paramount to film video aimed at the local news shows. That’s what these events are usually about – the actual “audience” isn’t even important – it’s usually just all about getting something on TV to help sell DVDs.

Jennheifer, which one looks like you?
Bo sounded awesome! What a great song.
Does a mummy count as “that guy”?

The one with the huge round head and pasty complexion. Say, are we related, Talli?

Dang, I missed it. “This video is no longer available.” I wanna see the bobblehead slobber!

The videographer removed the BOG Venice Beach video and reposted with her name on the video. So the old links don’t work any longer.
Here are the new links.
