New Bice baby bump

No, not that kind of baby bump – a sales bump, probably fueled by all the news blurbs on baby Caleb’s arrival. According to USA Today sales of See The Light were up 50% last week. Good job little man!

Bo sold 300, up from 200, and hits 60,000.

Sixty thousand albums – I’m impressed, and so happy for Bo. Sales started slowly and there’s been very little promotion, but damn, the cd has turned out to have legs. Not a one of these sales has come from marketing hype or payola or the power of the industry machine. It’s all positive word of mouth and great live performances on tour. And it’s all the more impressive because it takes a flashlight, a compass, and a secret treasure map to even find the album for sale in a store. Congratulations, Bo!

To add, in just one store and you’re lucky if they stock up.

    Yay Bo! Congrats.

Caleb’s going to want a percentage.

Way to go, Bo! You believed in your music and we did too. This Train’s leaving the station. Good job little Caleb, and please let’s not forget the work Caroline put into this baby boost! I’m thrilled to pieces for everyone.

I’m especially pleased as I am going to hear the songs LIVE! in a few days. I think STL’s been selling like hotcakes at the shows too. Gosh I can’t wait!

Great blog! Great news. Makes me think of the Field of Dreams line, “If you build it, they will come.” Bo built this cd on his music, the stuff he believes in, and people are loving it.
I hope Bo brings plenty of STL cds to Cleveland. They ran out early in Maumee, before the opening band even started. He would have sold tons more, with 200-300 in the M&G line. I think I read concert cd sales don’t count in the “numbers,” but they do count in Bo’s pocket.

Way to go little guy! Of course, Caleb will be getting a percentage – don’t most kids take most of their parents money??? ;)

Seriously though, that’s awesome news! It is amazing considering the initial lack of PR and horrific Walmart deal. Although, ya gotta give his new PR lots of kudos for a job well done of gettin’ Bo out there and in the press. Can’t wait to see the initial sales of his next “Live CD.”

I do also wonder how many units Bo’s sold of his CD on the road as well as other items. Is anyone else thinkin’ what I’m thinkin’ – that maybe Ken Barnes seriously needs a pack of Bo Gum with the logo “Chew On This” along with his new sales numbers? ;) Just wonderin’? LOL!
