News on Bo’s Producer
Thanks to BoSugar on The Original Bice Squad for finding this radio interview with Bo on Nashville radio station 107.5.
During the interview, Bo seems to indicate his CD will be out in the Fall (although he’s pretty non-committal to be honest) but he does mention that producer is Frank Liddell, who I assume is this Frank Liddell and that he has been recording in a studio in downtown Nashville.
Liddell certainly sounds like a good fit for Bo:
“I like music that is reflective of the people who are making it,” explains Liddell. “I believe that artists should speak for themselves. I like to leave the music alone, let it develop on its own. I want these artists to grow into who they are. And I know it will resonate with other people.
Here’s a Bio:
A native Texan, Mr. Liddell began his career in the music industry at Bluewater Music in 1990. Four years later, Mr. Liddell moved to Decca Records, where he worked with artists such as Mark Chestnutt, Gary Allan and Lee Ann Womack. Mr. Liddell’s valuable experience as a publisher and producer led him to found Carnival Music Group in Nashville, Tennessee in 1999. Today Carnival represents a star-studded roster of artists such as Bruce Robison and Mr. Liddell’s wife, Lee Ann Womack, and has produced songs by Tim McGraw, Faith Hill, the Dixie Chicks, Garth Brooks and others. In 2005, Frank Liddell was named country music producer of the year by SESAC performers rights group (Society of European Stage Authors & Composers).
He was Country Music Producer of the Year but his record label is non genre-specific.

“Carnival wants to build a diversified label based on musical intuitions instead of trends”…“Our plan is to respect our artists’ talents and treat them like people and not product,”
I really like his philosophy of music & he certainly seems a good fit for Bo, down to talking about people selling their records out of the trunk of their car. I’m anxious to find out more, but it’s looking like this could be a good thang(tm Bo)!

Looks like he won’t be made to do pop. Where was Mr. Liddell when Bo came off of idol? It just may have had a different out come if he had someone like him. So we might get Bo being Bo. Better late then never. Could BO be going somewhat country?

I want to be at the radio station when Bo shows up in his underwear! Another hard body contest? Seriously, Mr. Liddell sounds perfect for Bo. Let Bo sing and then let the music happen. Perfect.

I remember when Bo was asked about his favorites to win in the Grammies and he mentioned he’s always liked the Dixie Chicks. It just occurred to me then he never mentioned them before. Maybe another one of those cryptic messages.

I don’t think Bo’s one for cryptic messages.

Hmmm… what could lulu mean by that?

Sure, Bo is all about cryptic messages! He asks what we think about the Grammys, and lo and behold he’s published giving his opinion on same. He says he’s doing yardwork and that it’s cold but soon it will be summer and we will be by the pool, and lo and behold we find his yardwork means clearing trees and brush for a kiddie pool.

Make of it what you will! I am keeping quiet

Well, whatever ;-). We have one more piece of the puzzle. This should keep us all buzzing for the next few weeks until Bo drops another nugget of non-cryptology into our laps, :-).
Keep ‘em coming darlin’…
